VEATITUDO: A photography exhibition dedicated to Kim Taehyung

Hello cuties!! Wow, it's been a long long time since I last blogged...
I've been dealing with a lot and I'm actually considering adding the subject of mental health to my blog but I'm still hesitating because even though I want to keep it personal I feel like it could be way TOO PERSONAL, if you know what  I mean...
Anyways, that's not what this post is about! I'm here to talk about the time earlier this month that I attended a photography exhibition for Kim Tahyung's (BTS V) Velicitas fansite. I never knew such thing existed but I found out because she (Velicitas) mentioned it on Twitter and, well, why not spend 5000KRW to stare at pictures of Taehyung? Ahahaha
This is also my first time talking about anything kpop related here!

So at the entrance I got a stamp on my hand which said "태형이"(tae-hyung-i) and which I couldn't photograph because I accidentally blurred before it dried... (っ- ‸ – ς) and I got a free pocket mirror, a sticker and an A4 poster.

The pictures were displayed as a timeline from 2013 to 2016 in which you can see Taehyung's growth and always his cheerful goofy and innocent smile or moments in which he looks extremely serious and oh so handsome.

This event was also part of V's birthday project so even though his birthday isn't until the 30th there were balloons and a Happy Birthday corner.

For my surprise there was also a table with a cute mail box, pens and a bunch of blank post cards meant for fans attending the event to write a lovely happy birthday card for Tae which would be delivered later.

Finally there was a small booth selling photo cards, polaroids and other goodies all photographed by the lovely Velicitas. I couldn't spend much but I left very satisfied with my polaroid set ٩(♡ε♡ )۶

It was a great experience, the ambience was great, the BTS background music lightened up the mood even more (in an already lit mood as expected from a room where you're surrounded by Tae's happy face ahahah), I loved how people would sing along to random lines and it made me feel so comfortable.
I wish I had been there with a friend to share such a lovely moment...

Congratulations to Velicitas on your first exhibition and thank you for your hard work!

You can find Velicitas' twitter here.
Feel free to ask any questions and I'm also open for suggestions!

O-Lens Review! G&G GBT French 3 color Gray 프렌치 3칼라 그레이

How's everyone?? Happy new year! Haven't posted in two months but make sure you join me on Facebook for more frequent updates~
Today I'm going to review a store called O-lens as well as my most recent purchase (・ω<)

It's a physical store in South Korea with also an online store which unfortunately is completely in Korean. If you come to Korea and you're looking for circle lenses you will be well treated here. I love it because I had never had the experience of buying circle lenses at physical stores before. They have artificial eye models so that you can choose your eye color + the color lens that you want and see how it would look in your own eyes! You can also get your eyes checked for free to see if you will need prescription lens or not. The staff is usually very friendly but make sure you go with a Korean friend if you don't speak Korean so you get the full service instead of being rushed because they can't speak English well.
The store usually has pretty cool discounts and even 1+1 events and the prices vary from KRW10,000 to KRW50000.
You always get free lens cases + free lens case case (ahaha) + multi-purpose solution! Yay for free stuff (ΦωΦ)
You can check their catalog on-line and get them on-line or just so you don't need to spend so much time deciding what to get. In my case, last time I browsed their grey lenses page, looked at the customer pictures and reviews and chose my favorite, then I went to the store and simply showed them the page on my phone. You can either do that or write down the information but that's quicker.
If you're in Korea just type 오렌즈 in your map app (다음 지도 may be the best app, Google maps kinda sucks in Korea) and you'll see the closest store to you, there are so many so you don't need to travel to the end of the world.

Now about the lenses that I got! The brand is G&G and you can buy them on Pinky Paradise as well.
Colour: 5/5
Enlargement: 5/5
Comfort: 5/5
Naturalness: 5/5
Overall: 5/5

G&G has NEVER disappointed me!

Stunning! I didn't know what to expect because these are my very first grey lenses ^^ I think I made the absolute right choice when I selected these ones because the yellow blends sooo well with the grey and makes them look even more natural. I kept staring at my eyes very closely in the mirror and all I can say is that they look pretty natural, no obvious lines or pixelated effect.

Super comfortable and soft! I don't even notice I'm wearing them unless I've been wearing them for hours and my eyes are dry, they're very very comfy!
Lenses should NEVER feel uncomfortable so make sure they're in perfect state before wearing them. Check out my post about safety tips and mistakes.
Magical? Mesmerizing? Dreamy? Mysterious? I don't know how to describe these lenses, they're just amazing. I'm in love. I was so sad that my green lenses got damaged and I wanted to try a new colour but now I don't even care anymore ahaha I'm just so happy with my new lenses =^∇^*=And they're pretty good for either cosplay or just fashion!
Let me know what you think ^^ I hope I gave you a nice idea for your future purchases~

I hope you enjoyed this review, if you have any questions feel free to ask through here or my tumblr inbox which I check more often actually ^__^

South Korea Traveling: Weekend at the East Sea!

Hello everyone!
Two weeks ago we visited the province of Gangwondo (강원도) at the East Coast and it was great. Nothing like the fresh breeze of the sea, the East Sea (also called Sea of Japan but let's not give it that name...)!
I took way too many pictures so I think it would be boring for you if I made a master post ahah, so I decided to show you my ultimate highlights~

I finally tried this gem! I was so curious about it but at the same time skeptical because the original fish shaped snacks are filled with red beans (my worst nightmare) so even knowing this was just ice-cream had never tried it.
It's so delicious!! ㅠㅠ 10/10!!! The fish tastes likes a waffle so it's even better than your average ice-cream cone!!~ It had almonds in the bottom and the only thing I didn't like was the sprinkled coconut, which I didn't notice until I tasted it ㅠㅠ
I would eat this ice-cream every day.
Location: Sokcho Tourist Fish Market (속초 중앙시장)
I also tried hotteok (호떡) for the first time. I had been looking forward to try it since last year before I came to Korea. Unfortunately I came on summer and I couldn't find it anywhere. Now that it's starting to get cold I can finally get this glorious treat.
Korean street food is really something... 10/10
Location: Sokcho Tourist Fish Market (속초 중앙시장)
Raw squid! Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect ahaha but it's actually pretty good!!!
It's a little hard to chew on, like a chewing gum that doesn't let you chew enough but the taste is good! 8/10
Location: Sokcho Tourist Fish Market (속초 중앙시장)
I have no words to describe this chicken. Before I came here I didn't pay much attention to fried chicken. It's not something to go crazy over in Spain. We have KFC and alike but for some reason I can't step inside a KFC without feeling sick.
Korean fried chicken is definitely something that will drive you crazy. And what's better than a chicken restaurant surrounded by other chicken restaurants? They all want to be the best so I assure you chicken restaurants with competition are the greater deal.
A good way to embrace Korean culture while in your trip? Try chimaek (치맥)! It stands for chikin (치킨) and maekju (맥주), chicken and beer!
When you try it you will know what I'm talking about~
This is the chicken restaurant we visited, we chose it over others because we were provided free "samples" to compare and they seemed like the best (we were right!).10/10
Location: Jung Ang Market (강릉 중앙시장)

We took a peaceful walk on the beach in the morning. It was really cold but it was very relaxing~ fresh air, the sound of the waves...
And you have a lot of nice coffee shops near as well as Motels. What's better than waking up one day, grabbing some mocha and enjoying this view?

We saw people selling the freshest fish ever right next to these waters. I'm not a huge fish fan but if I was I would've definitely cleaned this place up. NOMNOMNOM

We visited a farm and took quite a long walk. To go to the peak of the mountain we have two options: hiking (in a pretty easy way to be honest) and taking the bus. It was very cold and we had to run to make sure we got to the bus line before all the other people. The line was truly long, we would have had to wait for at least four buses but we rode the second. Once up we enjoyed the view and the fresh air and decided to go down on foot but it was our last day and we had quite a long way home so we ended up cheating and getting the bus twice to advance our way down...woops~

Another nice point to catch your breath and sit back and relax...
Location: Hajodae (하조대)
I really enjoyed this trip and I hope you see these pictures of my favorite moments and get a little inspired on where to go the next time you get some free time or if you're traveling in Korea~These pictures are nothing compared to reality. You have to be there to feel it.
♥︎♥︎♥︎Stick around to see my future posts about my life in Korea, traveling, food,                          culture, fashion, makeup, etc. See you next time!♥︎♥︎♥︎
